#OVERWATCH 2 SEASON 3 NEW HERO UPDATE#
Hero Mastery, which will grant fans with character-specific challenges (and a competitive global leaderboard), will be making its way into the game at a slightly later date, during a mid-season update in September. The practice range will be receiving a major facelift, including a firing range with adjustable settings. Overwatch 2: Invasion will also feature a co-op event in King's Row, which players can likely expect to see sometime mid-season.

Interestingly, Suravasa and New Junk City are " Overwatch 2’s biggest PVP maps to date." Both maps will serve as grounds for Flashpoint, a new PvP mode wherein " teams will fight for control of key positions across the map," according to the same update from Blizzard. Since Season 5 didn't offer a character nor a map, Invasion will launch with two new maps: Suravasa and New Junk City. On top of a new support hero, Story Missions, and a Null-Sector themed Battle Pass, Overwatch 2 Season 6 will release with lots of other new content, too. Players can likely expect to see some solar or light-based abilities in her kit. The art is titled " Solar Threading Ritual," which heavily implies that Overwatch 2 Season 6's new hero has potentially harnessed the power of the sun. The image again displays a silhouette of the new character, only this time floating in the center of a golden, circular contraption, being zapped by yellow beams of light. In a Director's Take on the Blizzard forums, the developer provides some fascinating concept art of the hero. However, it seems that the healer's positioning against the sun was not only intended to hide her identity, but also to symbolize her origins and backstory. Sadly, against the bright rays of the sun, it's difficult to make out what the hero looks like exactly. However, the last few seconds of the video show a mysterious cape-wearing silhouette jumping up into the sky, wielding a large, blade-like weapon. A two-minute-long video teases Invasion's new Story Missions, a new game mode called Flashpoint, two new maps, a Hero Mastery mode, a new co-op event, and even a firing range.

Here's every reward available in the Season 3 battle pass for Overwatch 2.The post not only affirms that Overwatch 2 Season 6's new hero will be a healer, but it's also accompanied by a short sneak peek of the character herself. Blizzard also announced a Valentine's Day event, which will coincide with an online dating sim game, where you can smooch your favorite heroes.
